Last week, the Philippines has been ravaged by one of the worst disasters ever recorded in recent history, destroying shelters, demolishing livelihood, killing thousands and displacing countless more. With the enormous storm surge and massive flooding, it is estimated that more than 2.1 million families or 9.3 million individuals have been affected by super typhoon. It is feared that more than 10,000 people may have died in Tacloban city alone. The amplitude of the devastation is getting bigger and bigger as authorities assess areas affected by the horrifying storm surge.
This is the second major disaster in the Philippines in just a span of four weeks after the powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Bohol and Cebu on 15th of October. Barely recovering from the wrath of the recent massive earthquake, these provinces are also affected by the most powerful natural calamity in the world.
The huge challenge now is to assist these affected provinces to recuperate from such destruction and to provide all the victims with basic necessities like food, water, medicine, clothing and shelter.
Sofitel Philippine Plaza also launched an online donation drive, accepting monetary donations via Paypal. Sofitel aims to raise 5 Million pesos for this cause.
My blogger friends and I were able to raise money by selling our pre-loved clothes online. We’re also auctioning some of them! Hope you could help us out!
You can also donate clothes, noodles, biscuits, canned goods, rice, bottled water, coffee, basic medicines, first aid kits, sanitary napkins, slippers, blankets, etc.

Wearing all-black to mourn the loss of my laptop. Haha I know it’s just a material thing but I spent everyday of the last five years on it. It has helped me a lot with my schoolwork and establish this blog. I have about 30 sets of outfit shots left unpublished. Sucks I won’t be able to share it with you guys! Anyway, I’m excited to come up with new ones!
Shirt from Flesh Imp | The white stripes on my sleeves and at the cuff of my pants played off perfectly with the all-black outfit. Very subtle but it added a nice contrast!
Track headphones from AIAIAI | The lightest headphones I own! I love the minimal design—and sound quality is pretty awesome as well! Available at Beyond The Box, Digital Walker, Digital Hub, Astrovision, Astroplus, Egghead, Futureworld, PC Hub and Listening Room.
Ayaw isuout yung vest? Haha! This look would’ve been so boring without the leather vest! I have to say, it’s one of my best finds! Everyone should have one in their wardrobe!
Boots from Palladium | Reflective taper from AEON | Say hello the world’s first pant leg taper! It’s pretty much like a bracelet for your ankle. It can be worn alone or it can be used to get that slim tapered pantcuff effect! It’s also reflective so you can have peace of mind when you’re walking or biking at night!
Time really flies by so fast when you are having fun! I can’t believe that we are on the last leg of our 3-day Hong Kong Disneyland adventure! We had such a great time, we didn’t want to come home!
For our last day, we decided to lounge around the hotel and enjoy its facilities! We were flying on the same day so we reserved our last day to rest, eat (of course!) and take souvenir photos!
View from my room! Disney’s Hollywood Hotel’s swimming pool. Can you spot the piano?
The hotel’s corridors are vibrant yet very homey.
Breakfast time again! At Disney’s Hollywood Hotel’s Chef Mickey!
Even the chairs got Mickey in them! The world’s most famous mouse is everywhere!
More Mickey waffles! I will never get tired of having this for breakfast!
Nope, this is not a 5-year old’s breakfast—this is mine! Haha! What’s not to love at Chef Mickey? Everything’s delish and instagram-worthy! lol
World’s best cook! Chef Mickey in the house!
After breakfast, we spontaneously decided to do some last minute shopping in the city. We took the Disneyland MTR station going to Tsim Sha Tsui. It was very convenient to go to other parts of Hong Kong from Disneyland!
Look how cute the Disneyland Line is!
Don’t forget to hold on tight, Mickey-style!
Who wouldn’t be excited to ride this train?
Decoding the map and looking for the best shopping spots in Hong Kong! Sorry I didn’t get the chance to take photos of my trip to the city! Was too busy shopping haha!
After a full day of shopping, we went back to the hotel to enjoy our last meal in Disneyland. We were treated to a lovely 4-course dinner at the posh Walt’s Cafe located in Disneyland Hotel. It was truly a feast!
The place was beautiful and the staff were very nice and accommodating! It was a wonderful dining experience overall!
Cobb Salad with Caesar dressing
Grilled sirloin steak with seasonal vegetables and potatoes
My favorite: Lamb!
And for dessert, the extra special white chocolate cheesecake! Yum!
Well, I guess it’s quite obvious from my 3 blog posts that I had the best time in Hong Kong Disneyland! The weekend went by so fast and I really had a difficult time going “back to reality” after our Disneyland experience. It was truly a memorable adventure! For the coming holidays, try to visit Hong Kong Disneyland! It really is the happiest place on earth!
FOTON Philippines—one of the premier commercial brand vehicle in the country, staged an annual show last October 25-29 that showcased the company’s latest line of passenger vehicles, light & heavy duty trucks. I know, it’s a totally different atmosphere from the events I usually attend but I had a lot of fun! I took tons of photos to share with you guys!
Foton had the 4,000 square meter lot of World Trade Center for their outdoor exhibit. Felt like I was in a Transformers movie! Ha!
The indoor showcase at Hall A featured Foton’s line of passenger and commercial vehicles, heavy equipment and trucks.
Locally, Foton Philippines is the most aggressive and successful Chinese automotive brand. It has been attracting a growing number of government fleet accounts that includes police and ambulance vehicles.
In China alone, Foton has a distribution and service network of over 2,700 dealers and 4,400 service centers and globally has more than 100 distributors and 400 service centers in over 100 countries. Wow!
Foton’s Big Show 2013 had various incentive programs like on-the-spot tradeshow discounts, special trade-in deals and other freebies.
Here’s just 1 of Foton’s 6 Tornado Van series. Looks familiar to you? I see this vehicle everywhere!
So yeah, this happened. Haha I had too much fun at the event!
Foton Philippines also had 8 major banks during the show to offer on-site easy financing and low interest installment deals.
From heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles, let me show you some of Foton’s awesome line of passenger vehicles! I want this 4x4!
Foton is headquartered in Beijing and distributed in Germany, Japan, Taiwan and The Philippines!
Other activities include vehicle test-drives and seminars that cover technical training, PMS (preventive maintenance service) tips, road safety, responsible driving and UV Express franchise application tips.
Foton also unveiled its newest model van—The View Traveller!
The Foton Big Show 2013 kicked off with a performance by the NU (National University) Pep Squad! This was their winning routine at this year’s UAAP Cheerdance Competition!
Guest speaker Sen. Nancy Binay shared her insights about the brand.
The star of the show—The Dancing Wheel Loader! Haha! Foton flew in highly skilled heavy equipment drivers to perform in this specially choreographed dance number using the wheel loader truck! Check out the video I took here.
Of course I wouldn’t leave the event without test-driving Foton’s vehicles! I seriously wanted to test-drive the firetruck but I don’t have the license for it :( Boooo.
I chose to test-drive the new Foton View Traveller van! I want this for my family! It’s a 15-seater van which is perfect because there’s 12 of us in the family (ang dami ba namin) haha! Other standard features include halogen headlamps with irradiation height adjustment, fog lamps, power windows, ABS and EBD, individual three-point seat belts, dual front airbags and central locking system.
Check out how spacious the Foton View Traveller is!
There you have it! Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Like FOTON Philippines on Facebook for promos and updates! See you at the Big Show 2014!
It’s Day 2 of our Hong Kong Disneyland Adventure! We had a good rest at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel so we were recharged and ready for another fun-filled day!
One whole day at Disneyland is not enough to explore and appreciate all the rides and attractions, quaint cafes, souvenirs shops (and more!) so good thing we had an extra day at the park!
We started Day 2 bright and early by exploring Disney’s Hollywood Hotel. Like true kids at heart, we even challenged ourselves to spot as many hidden mickeys as we can lol!
We love Disney’s Hollywood Hotel! It’s like old, classic Hollywood!
Walked around the hotel and took outfit shots for the blog! It’s the perfect location because it’s beautiful wherever you go!
How cool is this Mickey Mouse bench???
Look who’s here! My sister flew in today to join us! She may be old (lol kidding) but she’s a Disney-child at heart!
Of course, we won’t be able to get through the day without ‘filling up’. At Disneyland, there’s no such thing as boring breakfast! Aside from serving yummy Disney-themed breakfast, Disneyland Hotel’s Enchanted Garden allows you to meet and greet your favorite Disney stars while you eat!
It really is the happiest place on Earth! Disney characters go from one table to another to greet diners!
Mickey Mouse waffles!
Look who dropped by while I’m having coffee!
From left to right: Verniece, Pluto and David (just in case you mix us up lol)
Mickey Mouse-shaped pancakes!
Teaching Mickey to do the “blogger” pose. Haha! Mickey you are not supposed to smile! lol

Of course I chose Ozzma Kappa! We’re OK! We’re OK!
Give them your best scare and wait for the results! Was I scary enough? lol
I made it!!! I’m now in the scaring program! lol
The yummy smell of caramel popcorn drew me to the stall. Seriously.
Mandatory “pasan ko ang daigdig” shot! In English, the world is on my shoulders haha lol
Lunch break at the Starliner Diner! I’m enjoying my chicken wings way too much. Haha!
I was able to ride the Mystic Manor in Day 1 but I didn’t get the chance to explore the Garden of Wonders, also in Mystic Point!
Several ancient sculptures and mosaics with 3D illusions are displayed in the Garden of Wonders. You must view them from particular angles to unlock their mysteries. Get ready to be bewildered!
You can find the Neptune Oblique Anamorphic Mosaic, the Phoenix, Qilin and Koi Sculptural Anamorphic and the magnificent Lamassu Bas Relief at the Garden of Wonders. Only when these artifacts are observed from a certain angle can you uncover the secrets they hold. Want to see?
Here you go! How amazing is this Lamassu Bas Relief!
There is also a new restaurant to try out at Mystic Point, the Explorer’s Club. It has five themed dining areas – Egypt, Russia, Morocco, India and China!
The Explorer’s Club Restaurant offers 16 delicacies from various Asian locations, such as Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and Indonesia. All food is Halal certified too. Some gourmet dishes, like Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, are newly available at Hong Kong Disneyland, while the luminescent Blueberry Myst is a recommended special beverage!
Now back to Main Street USA to scout for a quiet cafe where we can rest and eat (again!)
Location found! We headed to the Corner Cafe at Main Street for afternoon tea
Check out our tea set! Beautiful and mouth watering too!
Staring Mike! Tastes really good and refreshing!
Look at my Sulley Blue Frightener drink! It lights up! Cool!
Such work of art!
Rode my favorite ride again at the Grizzly Gulch!
Bail me out? Please?
Who said we were done exploring the park? Next stop was Adventureland!
Rode the Jungle River Cruise! Join this big boat of adventure, explore the jungle and have a good view of Tarzan’s Treehouse!
Woody is such an attention seeker! Look at his fans!
Fooling around at Andy’s Toy Box. I want this hat!
Like my Mickey-Woody hat?
Another feature they made specially for Halloween!
This seems legit. Scary!
Graves Academy! A new attraction just in time for Halloween! It officially opened last October 4! I want to go back!!!
Vern and I obviously having a great time! We’re off to our castle! lol
I will never get tired of witnessing Disneyland’s concert in the sky.
What a perfect way to end an amazing trip!
Thank you Hong Kong Disneyland for a trip down memory lane! No one can ever outgrow Disney-kids and adults alike will surely have fun! Thanks for a wonderful and memorable experience! We will definitely come back! Stay tuned for Day 3!
Slurpee brings backs a lot of memories. I remember rushing to 7-Eleven right after dismissal time in gradeschool and highschool! It’s one of those things that take you back to your childhood. Every so often, especially during the hot months, I crave for this frozen beverage. There’s something about it that’s so refreshing and fun to drink! It’s our version of Glee’s slushie!
I’m sure you guys know what it’s like to drink the world’s favorite frozen beverage brand, Slurpee, out of a paper cup. Except for the cup designs, it’s the one thing that hasn’t changed—at least that was until 7-Eleven Australia came up with something ingeniously fun and wacky that sent people rushing to the convenience store to be filled with Slurpee!
The Philippines’ first ever Slurpee Bring Your Own Cup Day happens this Thursday, November 7. How does it work? For only 29 pesos, anyone can use the craziest “cups” you can get your hands on!
So we did a little run through of the BYO Cup Day just to see what to expect on November 7! It’s a one-day-only event so you guys better take advantage of this!
My weapon of choice. Yup that’s right—it’s a spray bottle! Haha! It was super last minute. I wish I brought a bigger one! Babawi ako sa November 7!
I have no words for that boot and arinola. No words.
Hold your horses! Anything that can be filled is fair game provided that it follows the rules. As long as the “cup” in question is hygienic, watertight, fixed in size and shape, and can to fit this “hole of greatness” or what 7-Eleven calls the “MaCUPungyarihang Bilog” (measures 9 inches in diameter), customers can fill it to the brim with Slurpee.
With the adorable Aryanna Epperson. She won for having the best cup! Check out her cool Slurpee bucket!
With Kelly Misa
Warning: brain freeze may occur.
With Saab Magalona
Spotted tons of crazy cups! Check out his fishbowl Slurpee cup! I wonder where’d he put the fish :( Haha!
With Verniece Enciso
Well someone wanted his/her Slurpee fancy. Haha!
We’re all wearing red! The #BYOCupDay kicks offs 7-Eleven’s partnership with Coke! The world’s favorite frozen beverage and the world’s number one beverage brand? Heck yes! (I love the Coke-flavored Slurpee!) Here I am with the Coke President for Happiness!
The 7-Eleven and Coke people enjoying their slurpees! I spy a trophy Slurpee cup!
And if you’re up for a challenge, they’re also giving 5,000 Pesos to those who will use the most creative cups. Cool, right? Who knows, maybe you can even win 5,000 Pesos AND have all the Slurpee you can ask for!
Upload your photos with your craziest BYO Cup on Facebook and use the hashtag #BYOCupDay! 3 winners will be awarded: Best Use of a Household Item (to be chosen by 7-Eleven), Craziest Cup (photo with the most number of likes) and So Wrong, But So Right (to be chosen by 7-Eleven as well). What can you say about this dog bowl cup and straw hat?
I still haven’t thought of what to use on #BYOCupDay but let me tell you now, it’s going be huge enough for all the Slurpee I could get! But for now, wisik wisik lang muna with my spray bottle, haha!
WIth Angel Rodriguez, Gerd Perez and Saab Magalona
I’m sure this will bring out the kid in everyone! So stoked to go to 7-Eleven on the 7th! That’s in 3 days! You guys should better start thinking of what crazy cup you’ll be bringing to #BYOCupDay! Aaaand to get you more excited, check out how #BYOCupDay was done in Australia. It’s crazy!
Don’t forget to like 7-Eleven on Facebook and follow them on Instagram (@711ph) when you use the hashtag #BYOCupDay on November 7!
Anyone else out there losing track of days because of the holidays? I’ve been enjoying my free days waaaaay too much. I think I was able to watch a total of 10 movies in a span of 3 days, haha! Yesterday I finally got out of bed and spent the whole morning with my friends, went out of town to visit my grandparents then headed out for dinner with the family. I know I’m a bit overdressed but I missed shooting for the blog! Haha!
Button down from Farah Vintage | I actually like the fact that Farah Vintage releases only a few pieces from their collection. That way it makes it more exclusive and you have the assurance that you won’t bump into someone wearing the same shirt. The pink is also a breath of fresh air from my usual dark toned outfits. Farah Vintage is available at SM Aura Premier.
A bit off topic but I’m so happy to share with you guys that my blog is nominated in four (4) categories in this year’s Nuffie Awards! It would really mean a lot to me if you guys vote for me! Vote here. (You can vote every hour).
Watch from Cookoo | This watch connects you to your iPhone and alerts you when you receive text messages, incoming calls, calendar reminders, emails, Facebook/Twitter notifications, low battery, alarm clock and it can even detect your misplaced phone! All you have to do is download the Cookoo app (it’s free) and configure it!
Grid-It Organizer from Cocoon | A unique weave of rubberized elastic bands made specifically to hold personal objects firmly in place. The possibilities are endless! You can get it from Urbanize—a one-stop shop for unique, clever and functional merchandise. I can spend hours in that place! Visit their newly-opened store at the 5th floor of Shangri-la East Wing!
LunarGrand Wingtips from Cole Haan | Printed socks from Stance | I always love finishing off a formal/preppy look with a little bit of personality by adding printed socks. Got these from Stance’s Holiday Collection, you can check out the other designs here.
