Since it’s summer, Let me share some pictures from our Boracay trip. I miss the plane ride, the long walks along the beach, the banana boat, the hotel, the friends, the topless sunbathers, the isaw, the beautiful people, the smoothies, the booze, the sand, the food, the pretentious leopard dog, etc. Hope we come back here this summer!
Well I’m not really home alone, the kids are here (Alec, Ashley and Ashton). I had to babysit ‘em today. But you get my point. Anyway, Remember my blog entry about me wanting to get married and have kids already? Yeah I take that back. I did the dishes the whole day, I “cooked” lunch, which obviously, is a failure. I cooked hotdogs instead. I had to carry Ashton to the bathroom ‘cause he didn’t want to take a bath. Someone peed in the trashcan and dustpan, etc. So stressful! Never knew summer could be this fun! Hahaha :|
I was talking to someone on the phone so I kinda forgot about ‘em yummy treats lol
FYI: I didn’t serve this to the kids I was babysitting, okay!
Words of wisdom about my sizzling tocino dish via Twitter:
Pia: “OMG Dave hindi niluluto ang uling!”
Ayi: “Those black things in your breakfast are cancerous.”
The Ten Million Movement seeks to enlist 10 million commitments from Filipinos to take positive action to help address the environmental crisis.
You guys can choose from conserving water to using mass transit (mrt, lrt, buses, and pujs), from collecting and using rainwater to planting indigenous trees.
I committed to walk or bike when going short distances. I walk sometimes when I go to get coffee from Starbucks, when I buy ice-cream at Mini-Stop, when I go the mall (sometimes), when I buy spicy squid from Ersao and mushroom burger from..Mushroom Burger. Haha sinabi na lahat eh.
All you gotta do is go to this site and leave your mark.
Another thing which I love about this is that when you commit, you can choose a tree from the site and you’ll leave a thumb mark (well not exactly your real thumb mark) but kinda. Anyway, your thumb mark would seemingly look like the leaves from your chosen tree. See for yourself!
Please spread the word! So far it has only 4, 894 commitments. It needs ten million!
So last night I had Japanese chocolates, now I’m havin’ Pretz (Japanese pretzels). Tried Pretz corn today and I’m excited to try the ham & cheese pretzels later. Hahaha summer is making me a fat asssss lol
I know it doesn’t look enticing but it actually tastes better than it looks, trust me. Hahaha took my friends here once and they got addicted to it. Thank God Mushroom Burger’s only three blocks away from our house, and my classmate owns it too, so yay for kabute burgers hahaha!
Went to Trinoma with the fam then went home then went to Trinoma again ‘cause we had to pick-up something yadda yadda. Anyway, mom got me tuna pie from Jollibee then we went to Mushroom Burger. Had one of these and black gulaman! Mmmm, looks good right? *barfs*
Someone take me to Tokyo please! I need to get myself this amazing document holder from Postalco. They have everything, from envelopes, leather bags to key rings. I know it looks like something you would see in NBS but it looks too owzzzzom for that.
Amazing craftsmanship! I seriously need to have one of these. Showed this to my sister and she said there’s nothing special about it. Hahaha half true, but I still want it!
Now how on earth will my huge ass camera fit in this thing…
Sorry for the mediocre post. Anyway, I’m so bored today so I’m gonna blog anyway.
My Sundays are always lame ‘cause I’m in no mood to go malling or do stuff that day (I got the Monday blues kahit wala akong pasok ‘pag Monday hahaha). The fam went to the mall so I was home alone, again.
The worst fucking fries evaaaaaar.
It tastes bad, it’s soggy, salty, oily…did I say soggy?
New addiction: Dark chocolate Raisinets and Cadbury’s Old Gold dark chocolate. Mmmm…
Photowalk with Ron, Sha, Ivan & Les at Intramuros. I used to think that Intramuros is overrated and lame and boring and crowded, I was wrong. Hahaha! I had an awesome time today! The theme for this week’s shoot for photog class is ‘old times’ so whereelse to goooo but in Intramuros, riggght. Was supposed to go to Dino Island but our prof might not take our works seriously, hahaha! Black and white pictures bore me to death but I still had a great time. Here’s a few:
Spent the day with friends today. The family went to Enchanted Kingdom to celebrate Ashley’s 7th birthday, I didn’t go ‘cause I had tons of stuff to do & apparently I’m still in my rebel years, hahaha not.
Found a plaid polo in my closet today. Can’t believe I forgot I had ‘em!
(Off topic): Earth hour was fun. I was thinking of Anne Curtis the whole time. Hahahaha!
Another fro-yo adventure! This time we hit Golden Spoon! My first time to have fro-yo without toppings. It’s good as it is, trust me.
Last time I went here I had those sprinkled chocolate thingamajigs and those granola bits, I think. Pretty good!
Next time I shall try the caramel sauccccccce. Mmmm, looks good to me!
I think I may have found my new favorite fro-yo flavor: Cake Batter!
Best buddy Ron enjoying his fudge brownie fro-yo. Tuwang tuwa oh! Hahaha!
Cake Batter and Fudge Brownie flavored frozen yogurt.
While I was in line, it didn’t hit me that Ms. Sarah Meier was in front of me! Well I kinda did ‘cause she was ridiculously tall and beautiful and fashionable and smexayyy hahaha I should stop. Anyway, she was about to throw a piece of trash or something & I intentionally stood near the trashcan just so she could talk to me. Hahaha pathetic! But it worked! Sorry now, I’m a fan. This was the best shot I could get. (Tracy, you have to introduce me to her next time, please! Hahaha!)
Cake Batter flavored yogurt, mmmm.
Totally forgot I had this! Dalawang stamp din yun! Hahaha!
Sorry for the irrelevant picture.
Akeem, Shabuya and Les are coming with us to our next fro-yo adventure. Come with!
A not-so-ordinary Wednesday for us. Our professor in photography class invited a ‘special guest’ photographer to criticize our works, with the theme ‘market’. The critic chose three best pictures in the class and two of my works were chosen! Cool! I owe it all to Aling Tina who accompanied me in the palengke in San Andres!
These two were picked:
More photos from today:
Ivan was our model for today’s shoot, I envy his outfit. Hahaha may date daw siya eh!
Leslie took over while Ivan was resting. Haha thank you, Les!
Look who stopped by. Charice Pempengco! Lol
1: Me: (Talking to my seatmate) "Kamukha ni Ivan si Ernie and Bert oh."
Leo taking over.
Poor Johan had to hold the redheads light.
Saw some friends after class:
Kim and Vince! They’re always fierce, y’know.
Bestfriends Vina and Lindsey Herchzchl (Hahaha I love saying that) Lol.
Color of the day: Purple. Hoooo noooo I broke the rules. Hahaha not!
Me and Kim. WTF is up with my lips. Ume-el nino.
(L-R) Ron, Lindsey Herzcklll, Me, Vina, Vince and Kim.
Haven’t had a corndog in ages! It’s okay though, it wasn’t so good anyway. Hahaha!
Not in a million years did I ever think I’d get a letter from this site (letterstotumblrpeople) Exaggerating. But wow, I am honored! Hahaha thank you for this! Whoever you are! It sucks I changed my Tumblr username. Haha regrets, regrets!
My inbox is getting pretty crowded so I might as well answer some submissions. I’ll answer ten questions today:
Hi, Cookiemonster. My recent photographs, I post them as is. Still don’t have Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Fireowrks for my mac. Too expensive!
Hey David this is David. I know this I know this! They’re called distressed pants/jeans. Goodluck!
Yes, very much.
Topman, thrift shops, Landmark.
Crossroad 77 Bread of Life Ministries.
Dude, it’s not a place. It’s like an activity which photo enthusiasts do to for fun or to improve their photog skills. I think it’s usually organized by camera clubs or friends or whatever. You walk with your camera and take picture of anything you find cool and insteresting. Haha did that make sense?
I’ve always wanted a pair of combat boots but I never had the guts to buy one for myself. The popularity of these piece of awesomenezz is increasing day by day and I wanna get a pair, badly! Not so sure if they’re comfy though. But I bet they would look good with all-black outfits. Now lemme get my leather jacket. Lol.
Just look at thoseeeeeee. If only I could go to Iraq and collect a pair of combat boots for every soldier who died in battle. Half joke.
Check out Tim Hamilton’s collection of combat boots here.
Lol not really, we bought the ice-cream. I guess we can call it pimp-it-yourself-ice-cream then? Lol anyway, it was a hot Sunday at home so the kids and I made our own ice-cream concoction (?). Turned out puh-retty good!
One huge plate was enough for everyone, kinda. Looking good!
What we used:
1. One huge ass bowl vanilla ice-cream (one gallon is enough for five people. Not!)
2. Crushed grahams
4. Chocolate sprinkles
5. Bits of chocolate (we only used Goya, haha!)
Yumm! Now currently watching GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Awesome awesome movie! I just said awesome twice. Okay logging off now.
It’s finally weekend, time to pop a bottle of champagne Minute Maid and party!
Right after my Saturday class (community service), went to Trinoma with Toby & Ron to shoot for photography class. Our homework was to shoot beside a window display. Hahaha we were too embarrassed but we found a spot in Zara (somewhere less embarrassing for us lol). Then Toby & Ron went to my place to learn how to ride a waveboard. Rested for a bit then went to Morato:
Went to Banapple in Il Terazzo ‘cause all I could think about that night was a slice of banoffee pie. Mmmmm.
Also, got a 3-stage rubber lens hood for my camera last Wednesday. Now my shots look so pretentious ‘cause it looks like I used fish eye lens in every photo. Lame! Hahaha I like the effect though:
(That’s me, Toby and Ron at Banapple Il Terazzo, Morato)
Toby wanted to shoot in the kalye graffiti wall near Guilly’s so we did. Here’s a few:
Sushi Sunday at T-Boy with the family! It’s usually shabu-shabu so it’s a big deal for me. Hahaha! Decided to take pictures ‘cause I kinda got addicted to the macro lens. I just had to.
Since their parents were in China, we had to babysit! (L-R): Ashton, Ashley and Alec. (P.S. Check out what happened to Ashley’s dress. Hahaha kawawa!)
Ashton wearing his Ninoy shirt.
Forgot what it’s called, but it’s good.
Tempuraaaaa! Of course.
MY NEW FAVORITE JAPANESE DISH. Forgot what it’s called again, hahaha but it rhymes with tartar. Lol.
Time for some sushi!
Asparagus wrapped with something.
I almost lost my appetite when I saw this old lady across our table. &!@$%&*(%!!!!! My sis and nieces even traded seats with me. Aggggh the horror! Paano kaya siya nag-sha-shampoo? Sinusundot kaya niya?
Gelato with the fam at Dezaato Pan.
Cakes, cakes, caaaaaaaaaaaaaakes!
I had to crop the photo ‘cause Ashley’s undies were showing. Hahaha!
I spend three hours every Saturday for our community service in Gawad Kalinga, San Andres. It’s for NSTP class. It’s kinda fun ‘cause the kids get to choose their ate and kuya. So this kid ‘Bitoy’ picked me. He has great fashion sense and he’s actually smart. Lol we’ll get along, not so sure about the smart thing though. Hahaha! Anywaaaaay, what’s great about our immersion is that we get to teach these kids stuff and eat various types of sandwiches at the end of the immersion. Hahaha unnecessary.
Here are some photos I took during the immersion. Say hi to my new friends:
Johari (Ron’s alaga) & Ronaldo (Dickie’s alaga)
Dickie and Ronaldo. HOLY SHIT SOMEONE STABBED DICKIE. I am highly disturbed.
Patrick, put. the. cigarette. down.
Marj with her alaga, Princess.
Teaching the kids how to spell t-i-l-a-p-i-a. Good job!
I hate them. Hahaha half joke.
Here’s my alaga, Bitoy. Check out his shades and his pose and the chocolate he is holdiiiinggg yum. Forgot to take a picture of his shoes, too cool for my life. I wanna be like you.
Theme for our shoot in photography class was market, using basic composition. So I took advantage of the market near Gawad Kalinga. Thanks to some friends who accompanied me. Here’s a few:
Took photos of these buildings after attending an event at the SMX Convention Center. Took a stroll with my sis along (err, forgot what it’s called). Hahaha nothing special, really. I just love how simple the buildings are!
