A jam jar stores jam. A sun jar collects and stores sunshine so that you can use it at night. A sensor turns it on immediately once it gets dark enough. But for those days when you just want to save your sun, just turn it off. The sun jar will charge in bright sunny spot outdoors or by a window indoors, ideally in direct sunlight.
